Dr. Dayanatha, a Chartered IT professional and Certified Management Consultant, specializes in helping non-IT managers succeed with IT projects. He holds a PhD in business administration with special emphasis on how non-IT leaders make IT projects successful and has extensively researched conversational AI in business, and contributes in helping organizations to adapt AI to improve productivity and effectiveness. He is the Director/Chief Conceptualist of Right-X (Pvt.) Ltd and has over 25 years of experience in IT, HR, change management, and operations. Dr. Dayanatha chaired the National HR Conference 2016 and serves on the executive committee of the Sri Lanka Institute of Service Management. He is a member of panels of judges of the National ICT Awards (NBQSA) and sat in as a judge in Entrepreneur of the year awards, he has contributed to enhancing CIMA graduates’ employability, stakeholder forums of Uva Welassa university and Soth eastern university of Sri Lanka. He authored “Welcome to the boardroom! Note on HR business integration strategies.”
Dr. Dayanatha completed the research titled “Effect of Organizational Complexity on the level of completion of projects within organizations” and compiled a tool kit to assess and manage the organizational complexity. He completed the dissertation on “Employers right within the legal framework of Sri Lanka” as part of the fulfilment of the Diploma in Legal Studies at Aquinas Institute of higher studies. His Doctoral dissertation was on “Leadership enactment for IS Acceptance: A sensemaking perspective”. He has published in Magazines, Blogs, Journals, and Research conferences.
Dr. Dayanatha is also a management consultant who has invented internationally accepted HR concepts. He was extensively involved in IT and Management Systems Designing and Systems Development in local and foreign employment. He was among the pioneers who introduced the Interactive Training Facilities to IT Training in Sri Lanka. He was well exposed to the management systems of Trading, Hotels, education, insurance, and Banking industries in Sri Lanka and overseas. He has conducted a variety of management and leadership training programs as a corporate trainer. He is versatile in conceptualizing, designing, and conducting technical training in Management. He is an advocate and a trainer for using AI to make work and life easier. As a consultant, he has undertaken many organizational development assignments. He has conceptualized and operationalized the frameworks for Doing Business Paperless, Dumb-Bell mushroom Innovation model, IT impact measurement framework, HR business integration framework, and Digital transformation leadership framework. He is a keynote speaker of international repute.
He holds a PhD and an MBA from PIM, is a Chartered Member of BCS (UK), Certified Management Consultant, Associate member of CIPD (UK), Past Senior Member of ACS(AUS), Founder member of CPM, Past chartered member of CIPM, Member of AHRP, CSSL, and SLISM and a Certified Gamification expert.
