Making information system projects effective, or driving a digital transformation project successfully, requires a user to assume charge of the entire project, most likely over the IT professional.

The user’s problem is the notion that he or she is an underdog in the eyes of an IT expert. The reason for this is that an IT expert learning IT over six years to master level and a user going through an MBA and completing a 10-week IT course will undoubtedly put the user at a disadvantage.

Our approach is to develop a new body of knowledge for user-leaders of IT projects who can negotiate with and lead IT professionals.

This model incorporates inputs from our Chief Conceptualist’s PhD study and the digitalization effectiveness framework we developed with over 30 years of experience as an IT professional and user.

To pique your curiosity, we have developed our own definition of data. Data are the evidences of business events. This redefinition provides you with several insights on understanding and directing a digitalization project.
