Demystifying the Digitalization paradigm
Modernizing information systems is frequently mistakenly
referred to as digitalization. The participants of this module
will gain a proper understanding of the what and how of
the digitalization paradigm.
The disadvantage would undoubtedly be on the side of the business manager to be able to stand as equal with the IT professional to lead an IT project when the IT professional has studied IT for four to five years at the bachelor’s level and possibly another two years at the master’s level. The non-IT business manager after completing an MBA while studying IT in ten weeks. This training gives non-IT managers the specialized expertise they need to comprehend and lead an IT project without having to learn IT. Additionally, this program is supported by authoritative PhD-level research to ensure IT success. Additionally, this program will teach participants how to establish a digital company by putting its component parts together, with a particular emphasis on developing a data lake for digital systems. Participants will also be exposed to the unique design thinking framework in Sri Lanka, which helps creative thinkers create technological innovations while introducing many crucial ideas for non-IT managersleading
IT projects.
Although it is customary for IT professionals to take the helm of IT initiatives, there is evidence to suggest that they are unable to create the success story on their own. The moderator of the IT conference 2022 noted that IT professionals can only contribute 20% to the success of IT projects after in-depth discussion of the digital transformation. Additionally, the Harvard Business School emphasizes in an article that IT is not the focus of digital transformation. In this program, non-IT managers are given the opportunity to assume control of IT project leadership and account for 80% of the success of IT projects.

A function in the IT profession is managing the systems development lifecycle (SDLC). However, it is rarely articulated how a user should participate in such a lifetime. The importance of SDLC knowledge for users to participate in the process will be covered in this module

An essential component of every digitalization project’s success is managing IT vendors from the initial presentation to the service contract. Users will gain knowledge of key components of vendor management, with a focus on the vendor contract being covered in detail.
To make the most use of IT, a segment of the law pertaining to IT in society should be thoroughly grasped. This section will discuss relevant legal theories and IT legislation that are important to digitalization.

The fourth industrial revolution is the most recent technology to spark a trend. The development of the best IT for society depends on the technologies used in the fourth industrial revolution. This module’s main goal is to give learners an understanding of 4IR technologies and how to use them in tandem with other technologies
The most popular invention technique in the world is design thinking. The Stanford design thinking model is the most well-known among many others. The Stanford model, however, has a gap in that it does not offer an ideation process. Therefore, the design thinking methodology created by Right X has the potential to demonstrate how everyone can invent. This model will be given a brief overview in the module, but a comprehensive discussion will require its own study plan.
We now live in a time when IT capabilities can be acquired by comprehending IT business concepts and combining them with existing technology. We shall collectively investigate this aspect to better grasp it
A major factor to take into account in the connected world of today is information systems security. So, it will be possible for participants to grasp information systems security fairly.
This also comes from PhD study that described how non-IT leaders could succeed with IS. Therefore, key elements for a leader to create IS success will be thoroughly examined.
The participants will be introduced to key metrics needed
to monitor and control IS projects, building on the notion
that what gets measured gets improved.
IT governance is necessary to make sure that choices linked to IT are made properly for the benefit of the business. Participants will receive a basic introduction to IT governance models. This curriculum will also be taught as a stand-alone course.
